    Sam here is your feedback.

Sam Alefson – Hwk 1- Rasi chart reading: Excellent work Sam. You kept to the template. I liked your in-depth explanation of Saturn, the ruling planet. You also gave an excellent discussion of the Moon. Next, your discussion demonstrated a deep understanding of the Nodes and expressed this in a way the client could understand.

The discussion of the Dasas was not required for this Homework task as those details were not provided. I’m not sure how you arrived at Sun/Saturn dasa, however, I found it very interesting with a good depth of understanding. You make a fine Jyotishi, Sam.

The current transits were also not required this time – they will be in Homework 4. As an Aquarian Ascendant myself, I listened with great interest and your discussion was so accurate. I have Jupiter in Revati and Mars in Swati.

You spoke clearly and audibly at a pace that the client can take in the information you have given them. And it was, as well, good that you gave a decent pause between sections so the client realises, something new is to be discussed.

Sam this is excellent work, what a great start, you really have it together – it was a pleasure to hear your reading. I look forward to giving feedback on your next homework.

    Hi Jeanette,
Here is your feedback for Hwk 3. I submitted but it got lost in the ethers, so here is the second typing of your feedback. I usually copy before posting but didn’t this one time.

Jeanette Altman: Hwk 3 – Mini Career Reading. Great Work Jeanette – you kept to the Template and spoke clearly and at a reasonable speed for the client. Good that you mentioned Saturn as a Dhana Lord in a wealth house and being a career karaka. I realise this reading is shorter as there are no planets to discuss in the 10th house.. Good that you noted that Jupiter aspect and commented on its effects.

Well done, keep up your great efforts. Onto Hwk 4 – Transits.

Hey CoVianna! Wow thanks a bunch for the feedback and praise! I must have totally misread the homework prompt as it was not my intention to be an overachiever with the unassigned tasks. However, I was curious about the person’s birth details so I used the planetary placements as a guide to reconstruct a time and location in PL9 and that’s how I found the dashas. That was just for fun and I wouldn’t have included it in the recording if I had paid better attention to what the actual assignment was.

    Hey Sam,
Your praise is well deserved. I am aware of the effort students put into their recordings and the time involved. Well done with using PL9 to sleuth the dasas.

    Hi Sam,
    Here is your feedback.

Sam Alefson – Hwk 2 Mini-Relationships Reading: Good work Sam. Oops, you said Pisces instead of Jupiter was in the 6th house going into Leo (just a momentary brain mis-firing I’m sure). Best if you slow the pace a bit. You have provided a rich level of information for the client and they will better integrate if each gem is delivered slower, the way you did in Hwk 1. Perhaps you were a little nervous.

It’s better to follow the Template and give more time initially to the overview of the three Karakas and how they work in the chart. Your discussion on what is affecting the Karakas/Relationship indicators was rich and informative. I enjoyed hearing each one, especially of the Sun, Moon and Ketu.

Well done Sam! Really good work again. I look forward to listening to your next homework submission – Mini-Career Reading.

Hey CoVianna, thanks for the feedback again. Due to a recording error it took me at least three takes to complete the assignment, so I had probably let my frustration get the better of me. For the career reading, I’ll make sure to explain the karakas first!

    Hi Sam,
Here is your feedback for your Mini-Career Homework.

Sam Alefson – Hwk 3 Mini Career Reading: Your explanation of the 3 Karakas was in depth and thorough. As was your overview of the person. Your assessment of the factors was very well thought through and clearly presented in a style that encourages the client to express in a higher way. Yet, at the same time pointed to the challenges in doing so. This would be a very helpful reading for the client to receive.

Excellent work again Sam! I look forward to listening to your next homework offering.

Thanks covianna and everyone for keeping the good work going!

How is everyone doing with the Level 2 readings?
Is Sam the only one doing them?

Level II is the time to put those teachings from Level 1 into practice..

    Hi everyone,

It’s such a pleasure to be supporting any student who posts homework recordings, to be their best.

Please know that if you are much further ahead in your course study, it is still fine to go back and get those homework recordings submitted for feedback. I would love to do that for you. And it’s sensible to get practice in prior to sitting for your Level ll exam.

And Jeanette I’m working on your Transits homework at the moment.

    Hi Jeanette,

Here is your transits Homework feedback.

Jeanette Altman: Hwk 4 – Transits Reading: Well done Jeanette – you followed the template and spoke at a pace the client could absorb all the information. You did get a couple of things mixed up which I will point out below. Best if you double check those areas when doing readings in the near future.

Be aware that the caste is related to Signs and planets whereas Artha is related to the 2nd, 6th and10th houses and in this part we are describing the Ascendant matters (1st House). So the worker class is Shudra and I noted that’s what you have described.

At 3 mins 23seconds, you said the 12th house represents the sub-conscious which is written on pg 219 in Sadasiva’s second book. Serendipitously, I remember, (from re-reading a course manual at 2am this morning) information which I am adding below for the benefit of all students who read all the Forum Posts:
Just a note on the 12th house Planetary indicators. “Saturn as the indicator of solitude, stillness and letting go of things, and Ketu as the part of us that is not of this world. Rahu is also connected to the 12th house as he has to do with foreign things.” quoted from pg 220 Yoga and Vedic Astrology – Sister Sciences of Spiritual Healing (Sadasiva’s 2nd book). Also in the Manual for the course “Rahu and Ketu. Befriending the Shadows”, Sadasiva mentions under the heading Darkness Unconsciousness and Purification: “Rahu is more related to the Subconscious (this lifetime) and Ketu to the Unconscious (all previous lifetimes).

    With your Transits discussion:
Mention that the Saturn Transit with that 7th house aspect to their 4th house – is aspecting the Birth Saturn placement there. Mention what the 3rd house type glance means and the 7th house type glance means. You did it for the Jupiter Transit discussion.
With the Mars transit discussion: Mars gives a 4th house glance, not a 3rd house glance – that’s what Saturn does. Best to re-do that section to help gel in your brain. Remember Mars gives a 4th/7th/8th houses glance. Saturn gives a 3rd/7th/10th houses aspect.

Well done on a great effort – you followed the Template and spoke at a pace that the client could absorb all the information and were thorough with that process. You did get a couple of things mixed up (probably due to your dyslexia). So it’s best if you double check those areas when doing readings in the near future.

Keep up your great efforts and following the Template, as that supported a depth of information for the client. I look forward to giving your feedback on your Harmonics homework offering.

    Onwards and Upwards – CoVianna.

    Hey CoVianna,

Here are my corrections to those drishti’s. Many thanks

    SATURN gives pressure and responsibility
Saturn is in Aquarius which is in your 10th house, giving you feeling of more responsibility to your career that causes pressure.
Saturn in giving a 7th house relationship drishti (glance) aspect to your Saturn in your 4th house of this will give pressure in that house of emotional state, mother, feeling potential, peace, property, sensitivity, and inner life.
Saturn also gives a 3rd house (glance) interest and ego drishti to your 12th house, giving pressure to your ruling planet and Mercury and Venus. this will give pressure and responsibility to your subconscious, hidden nature, isolation and or losses through sorrow or peace. Liberation and hidden nature.

Transiting MARS bring courage and fighting spirit, fighting the good fight. This transit will be for at least 1.5 months.
Mars is sitting on your 2nd house with you births Jupiter there, bringing Mars energy to your values, self expression, income and security.
Mars give a relationship glance to your Moon in the 8th house. The house of sudden shock through transformation, vulnerability, lack of control, hidden side of life.
Mars gives a 4th house emotional state and home glance to Rahu in your 5th house of your creativity and the things you love.

    Hi Jeanette,
Great effort and this brings more depth to the reading for the client. You are quite the diligent student and it’s paying off for you.
