Blog / Video Format Suggestions – All Comments Here

Hey,

I have been doing more videos lately because they are easier and allow me to get more information out in a shorter time.

Some have written and posted at this blog that they would rather i write something because they can read it / understand it easier. I will still write some posts and forecasts.. but as time is a precious thing now and about to get even more scare perhaps.. i am doing my best and trying to reach as many as I can in the most effective way possible.

If you have a hard time watching the videos / are confused then just listen to it perhaps. But i am open to suggestions as to what you may want this blog to be. So make those suggestions here – IN THIS THREAD AND THIS THREAD ONLY.

Please do not keep commenting on this issue in other threads. I will delete those comments.

thanks.

Best Wishes,
Sam

You visited a few times and I would appreciate your thoughts on this post, why not comment?

I love the videos…..! It is very helpful to have the visual of the chart.

    Sam,

The visuals through the videos are such a boon since it adds to my comprehension by seeing the relationships of the planetary aspects – especially if this is a help to you time wise since I value your service in teaching others about jyotish. Your explanations are very clear and the visuals enhance the planetary patterns moreso than written text.

I would value one site, one bookmark where I would have one index to what you are offering so I could catch up, look at a highlight for the week ahead, something that is significant like an eclipse or a Sun Saturn conjunction, etc. A video then could highlight the significant weekly event or teaching. (In true Gemini fashion, my one criticism is that you scatter and change sites so frequently that sometimes it’s hard to ‘find’ you).

I am also looking for a visual of the ‘spacial relationships’ (1/1, 2/12, 3/11, 4/10, 5/9, 6/8, and 7/7) between the planets since I cannot seem to grasp written explanations. For example, I ‘think’ 4/10 is when the TR planet is let’s say 10th from the fourth house in a chart in relation to the ascendant or the Moon, then a 4/10 relationship would apply bringing out H4 and H10 matters. If in your weekly videos you could mention this relationship, it would help when the TR planets form these relationships. Or if you have a mini lesson in the courses you offer, please let me know. It seems important in prediction, and it is a weakness in my own comprehension.

But thanks for all the great work that you do in sharing your knowledge. -Janna

I wanted to buy your book “The Ascendant “,
As I am from Malaysia, it is quite expensive.
Is it possible I can get a bit cheaper.

Hi Sam. I’m quoting Janna below, since she sums up my view. Way too many pages, too many URLs, none of them memorable. In a word, what is saving you time, is costing this reader/listener, way too much time. I still miss your earlier forecasts; the videos could amplify details.

    Hi Sam,
I love the videos as I am a visual learner. The one thing I would find helpful is if you could post a short response in the comment section when someone asks a question related to the video.
    Thanks, Suzanne

    Hi Sam

I like videos best and the visual is more catchy. I also find I learn better that way.

Sometimes I don’t have time to read… but I can always have the video on for sound and go about some other thing while listening!

But whatever is the easiest for you, it’s all fine :)

Thank you SO much for all your good work !!!

I would watch the Youtube videos more often if I had a better internet connection. It takes my computer a long time to load, so I usually don’t watch the videos because it’s frustrating. Right now I’d prefer the newsletter written out, but probably only until I get a faster connection. :)

I love getting the newsletters! Thanks for taking the time to put them together and sending them out.

  13. Fiona says:

Thanks for taking the time and effort to putting all the information on the newsletters/Youtube and sending them out.

You are only human, and can not possibly satisfy all the users, without burning yourself out in the long run.

You have every right to be proud of your work, because it is highly appreciated by a lot of people.

  14. Hey
    keep up the great work
i like the videos but if i am on my blackberry ( which is 50% of the time)
if there is only a link to a video, then there is essentially no information that i can access.
I think if videos are the best way to go for you to get out the most info, then go for it, but if you wouldnt mind writing a brief synopsis.
    thanks for being our guide

    Sam,
I like both ways. But perhaps you might have some way of printing out what you say while you speak it so that it can be printed as well as shown? Being a former Libra this seems like the solution to satisfy all, but perhaps it is too expensive to find software for that.

The only thing about the visual is that it is sometimes out of focus or not large enough. We who wear reading glasses or who want all the details…you know?

Other than that, anyway is fine as long as we get the info. That one on the Solar Eclipse was very fascinating. I want to learn more!

    Hi Sam,

I prefer the written, daily forecasts. I have greatly missed them since you went to video. However, I am probably not like most of your readers/viewers. Although I have an interest in vedic astrology and am a believer in the science, I am not currently studying astrology or looking to soon. I valued your daily forecasts as something to give me a hint as to why the world was spinning the way it was and a bit of a guiding tool for my life. I tend to skip through the deeper content that I know I don’t have the time to fully learn and grasp right now, and read the rest.
While watching the video, I get lost in the science and then miss what I used to find useful.

Like I said, I know I’m not your usual reader, but that’s my two cents. I find you an amazing person with a great gift.

Thank you for what you do.

    Om Namah Sivaya,

    Mary

    Dear Sam,
We really do prefer the written newsletters and miss them ever since you went on to the video! But of course you have to see your convenience too!
    Best Wishes Always!

    Dear Sam,

you are and have been extremely generous with your service to the public and the astro-community – and i deeply appreciate receiving any communication from you, they are rays of light.

It does not matter to me, what form they are in, used to love the daily forecasts, including nakshatras from a while ago, but whatever is the easiest for you – go for that one, as often as you are able to.

    Looking forward to next one….

Blessings and love to you, with great admiration and respect…

Hi Sam.I enjoy the video transit forecasts while talking about the nakshatras.I read from the material given in your classes and was able to follow along and finally grasp how deep they are.Anyone wanting more written material should order his workshops. They are very innovative with audio and manual material.I am still learning and using materials from his workshop that ended awhile ago.I wish the videos could be longer with more detail.Maybe you could have a pre-viewed weekly theme.Or little mini segments taken from your classes.I do like example charts.Would like more review on intermediate jyotish. Thanks for all you do.Your the best!
