Lunar eclipse – July 7, 2009
There was a partial penumbral Lunar eclipse this morning. It is one of two that will occur in the next month. Neither of them will be visually intense or even noticeble at all as the Moon will not pass through the earth’s full shadow at either point.

This in contrast to the Solar eclipse on July 22 which will be the longest and most intense this century.
More on that later.
However a lunar eclipse shows where we must emotionally check in with our intuition in a certain area of life. Sagittarius is the sign of our philosophies. We must make sure that we are not being dogmatic and that dogmatism is not disconnecting us from the communications necessary to actually put our philosophies into practice.
For instance, in a disagreement, we may suddenly become judge, jury and executioner to another bewildered party without listening to their point of view (Gemini, opposite of Sagittarius) after deciding that “what they did was just SO against my values” – or something like that.
The danger of Sagittarius is this tendency to cirumvent communication (again, Gemini) due to a haughty righteousness that at the time feels like a violation of our sacred principles. But you know what, if you don’t even give another person a chance to explain, you might be the one acting like the jerk and blowing things out of proportion (again, a Jupiter/Sagittarius trait) – and probably not living up to your own philosophies and morals.
Be careful with friendships now – a Gemini thing.
Since mars and Venus are still joined, the tendency to battle is still strong – especially with Taurus and Scorpio – the signs where Mars and Venus are either in the 1st or 7th houses – relationship houses.

1. Be careful with friendships and being haughty
2. This is especially true if you have prominent planets in Taurus and/or Scorpio

Thanks for the guidance, Sam. On Gurupurnima evening (Monday night), I got hit deep emotionally with a relationship issue, with someone who has moon and jupiter in 10th house (Pieces rising). And Venus and Mercury are opposite, in 4th house. The guy (my housemate) already does’t communicate (also because Jupiter is so pregnant, Venus and Mercury are weak?) so now I see it’s a big challenge. Philosophy check is the Self over ego. But now I know to be really carrful still tonight and tomorrow night. Cake sounds good.
Thank you so much for the head’s up Sam…I found myself becoming very haughty today in dealing with customers calling in and my tolerance at an all-time low. Very weird energy all today; Venus and Mars are dancing through my ascendant…this whole “relationship” thing has been highlighted to the nth degree – i’m exerting a lot of energy to stay centered and *breathe* calm…but I’m doin’ it – the daily guidance is so vital – and I am putting it into practice – so, again, a huge thank YOU for all that you share with us, Sam. I look very seldom Ephemeries. The problem is I don’t believe neither in Western and less in Vedic Astrology.

I was having a great relationship with a woman, when all of a sudden, she cut me off without explanation. I think I was being too “needy”. So I’m losing my relationships with my spiritual leaders and my girlfriends. Wasn’t there an REM song about that? Anyway, thanks for all the info. Sam.

There is a triple aclipse coming up now.
I was at satsang last wednesday, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar,
talked about that, say that it is very rare that
there is a 3 eclipse in row in one month.
And he said that it can afflict the world for
good and for bad. If bad 1/3 of the population
will die next two years. If good, people will
be more spiriual(solution is to use mantra
‘om nama shivaya he said)
. History have show this,
world war I and II was with an aclipse.
UN got started aster that aclipse so some good
thing came out of it. Perheps with the helpe of
UN we can not have that disaster as may come…
Litle scary but he may say a bit strong to
pull people into meditation.
