8 Foolproof Ways to Align With The Times

photo_6617_20090531The Sun, Jupiter and mars are all debilitated using the Sidereal Zodiac, the one in Vedic astrology. This means the planets responsible for getting things done in spite of how we feel, moving forward with things, etc are not so powerful now. Not just one of them,, but all three!!

This is a rare occurrence for sure. So what can we do about it?

1. Try to eat a little less as your digestive fire may be low. This can lead to sluggishness. Maybe eat more meals but less quantity. Stop eating before your belly is full. (actually this is a good practice all the time – but especially now)

2. Ponder going on a juice fast or liquid diet for a few days or even longer. (Similar to above)

3. Stay disciplined. This one is hard as the masculine planets are the ones that bring discipline. Do not ask yourself whether or not you want to wake up early and do your meditation practices, etc. – just do it. You don’t vacillate about brushing your teeth or taking a shower.. (or do you?) – same here.

4. Take a nice, brisk walk everyday. Make it a walking meditation by introducing a mantra or positive affirmation as you walk – timed to the rhythm of your breath and your steps.

5. Study uplifting teachings and philosophies. Engage your mind on the highest level. The universe is full of hope possibility.

6. Do some deep breathing exercises. This can be a part of your walking meditation or separate. But deep breathing is the key to a deep life.

7. Create something of beauty. The powerful planets are the Mercury / Venus exchange and that is all about creativity. After you feel more energized and clear you can be more creative.

8. Stop whining. Stay out of your head and all of the over emotional analysis.

A good way to integrate these practices is to get up a little earlier than usual – prepare a light “juiced” breakfast ( typically, I juice green leaves and an apple) – also have some tea. Sit down for a meditation ritual of deep breathing, reciting mantras and perhaps reading and contemplation of inspiring ideas.

If you follow these steps either literally or in principle – there can be enormous secrets revealed about the universal nature of these energies in you.

Often when the masculine planets are strong they engage us in external activity. Now that they are weaker this is not so easy to come by – but their / our eternal nature is never wavering. But this deeper nature must be approached through introspection.

This is what Indian astrology refers to with principles such as “Neecha Banga Raja Yoga” – this higher possibility.

This will begin to shift on November 2 when Venus joins the Sun in Libra, but we will not be feeling totally out of the “physically drained feeling” until November 16 when the Sun enters Scorpio.

    Thank you for the suggestions i will definately try to follow them, and wanted to share with you that recently i have started walking at a wonderfull park in my city. while it is far , i do try to go at least a couple of times a week, and believe you me on those dyas I feel so very good / energised / my excess energy gets used up. i do try to my mantras while walking. Most pple I see are on the cell phones in the park, howebver for me it is a special time to be with myself and within myself.
    Look forward to many more beneficial tips from you.
    Btw unfortunatly i have not yet been able to join the morning meditaion with you, being in India hmmm i am sure i once i do I will get hooked :-) actually waiting to install a set of speakers on my comp as the volume output is miserable on the lap top currently…so hope to join you soon!

  2. 6.15 am PST is actually a very good time for me as it is 6:45 PM at India, provided I can reach home from work and not be in the car driving back :-(

    You are a darling friend,all’s true as you have told me.I am sluggish since mars entered in cancer,what u have said is true,all that is done by me is puja and meditation.i am feeling low due to sickness,my work starts on 2nd november,holidays come to an end now.
