Astrology Planets
We are in fact star stuff, refined in a
sentient form, conscious and miraculous. We are children of the
stars.
The Sun energizes us as well as
all creatures that receive its light and warmth.
Many
Astrologers also read tarot and palms and understand
numerology.
Its sister Science Ayurveda, is mainly concerned with the
physical world and our physical bodies.
Astrology
was the first science. Lunar cycles in particular are what
allowed our forefathers to discover the best time for the
planting of crops, the change of the seasons, etc.
Little wonder that when an Astrologer starts to speak
about Astrological “Science,” most scratch their heads in
disbelief.
Given that we are not directly immersed in nature everyday, it
is easy to forget that we are residing on a large round globe
that makes one revolution per day and moves around a larger
globe at the center of a larger system of planets.
This is
understandable as most Americans encounter Astrology through
the daily horoscope or some other equally fluffy and trivial
medium.
Of
the 3 main Vedic Sciences, Vedic Astrology is probably the most
misunderstood, especially here in the West, where many regard
Astrology as superstition and foolishness.
By evening,
as the Earth falls into shadow, our mind’s and bodies prepare
for the evenings rest and rejuvenation, presided over by Moon.
Few would dispute
these claims as they are confirmed by logic and observable
events, however forgotten they are in most of our daily lives.
Putting all feelings about Astrology aside
however, who among us has not at one time or another gazed up
at the night sky and not been moved by the mysterious, awesome,
yet familiar nature of the universe.
They had an understanding of occult
knowledge and human awakening that culturally we do not possess
en masse today. Astrology is an example of this.
Given that our bodies are 75% water, it stands to
reason that we would also be affected by a force powerful
enough to affect Oceanic tides on Earth.
How often
do we stop to remember that during the sunrise or sunset it is
not the Sun that is moving, it is the Earth that is turning.
Just because they hadn’t invented microwave
ovens yet does not mean the early Hindus were backward ignorant
hicks, cowering in fear of wrathful deities or whatever is the
prevailing stereotype.
Yet each of the aforementioned
systems is based on Astrology.
Our blood flow, circadian rhythms and natural body clock is
timed accordingly. Whether we remember it or not, our brains
are wired for waking in the light and sleeping when darkness
falls.

these claims as they are confirmed by logic and observable
events, however forgotten they are in most of our daily lives.
